Stop the pulling in minutes, without pain or constant pressure. The Comfort Trainer is a dog head halter designed by professional trainer and author Miriam Fields-Babineau, who has trained with head halters since 1988. It redirects a dog that pulls, gets distracted or reacts to other dogs: simply turn in the opposite direction and your dog's attention comes back to you. It reduces a dog's ability to pull by as much as 90%.
Why it's different from other head collars
- Easy to put on – the tan noseband always goes on the muzzle, so the rest falls into place.
- No rubbing – soft, rounded braided nylon (like a puppy collar) rolls with the face instead of digging in.
- No constant muzzle pressure – the noseband slides through metal O-rings and loosens on its own as soon as the leash goes slack. No chin clasp keeping it tight.
- Away from the eyes – it sits back near the cheeks and is worn loosely, so it won't ride up into the eyes and looks less like a muzzle.
- Custom fit in one step – the buckle tongue goes straight into the back strap, so it never loosens or slips off during a walk.
- Fits short-nosed breeds – adjusts to the face of every dog, with a Size 2 Thin made for small brachycephalic dogs. Sizes 3 and 4 fit Boxers well.
- Fast to accept – light, non-binding and non-restraining, so most dogs can start walking right away.

How to fit it
- Let your dog sniff the halter, then praise and reward.
- Slip the noseband over your hand, tan side up, with a treat in that hand. As your dog reaches for the treat, slide the noseband onto the face. Reward and repeat 3 times.
- While your dog eats the treat, bring the strap behind the ears and buckle it. The buckle tongue goes directly into the material for a custom fit.
- The back strap should be snug but not tight: you should fit 2 fingers between the strap and your dog.
- Start walking and training right away with a high-value reward. It may feel like a new hat at first, but it is not painful.
